the royalty's scams

i think the duke guy and is friend are smart people yes they have done bad stuff and gotten away with it, that just shows how smart they are or i guess quick maybe is a beter word, if they were smart they would have done better scams althuogh the scams they pulled were really good. i think its very comical and made the book better in my opinion.

    agreed and it did make the book better because it is so dull at some parts and then you start reading about what these guys did and it pulls you back into the book...

    I agree that they made the story more entertaining. However, I wouldn't necessarily say that they are smart. They are blind to the fact that Huck knows they really aren't royalty. But they keep going with their story because they believe that kids are incapable of understanding such things.
