The House

The house scene is random. When they entered the boat i didnt expect a dead man to be laying there; but i guess thats what makes this a good book, and what makes us keep reading. There is one thing that i can't figure out, how did they get all the stuff they took back to the island? Jim and Huck came up with the idea to dress Huck up as a girl and send him to the island to find out more information about what has happened around town. When he finds an old lady to talk too, she figures out he is not who he says he is. O and since when did houses begin to float on water?

  2. Yes, the house scene is random. Frankly, sometimes I feel that instead of a novel, the book is more of a compilation of short stories. I mean, Mark Twain keeps the story together, but sometimes I feel like he loses the initial story line. Like, there was an entire page of Jim telling this story that didn't at all correllate to the plot.

  4. The house sence is random but on the other hand it does draw the book together. The people back then didnt have what we have now so it isnt out of the oridnary to see what they have came up with. Floating houses now thats cool. Any material that they could come up with went into making those houses. They didnt have a Lowes to go to so they had to use what they could. I think its great skills.
