Huck's comformity

Huck is so easy going, perhaps too much so. He was not completely content at the beginning of the book, as he learned to live with the Widow Douglas, but in time he grew accustomed and even comfortable with his new life. Then he lived with his father for a while and, though he was treated badly, he grew just as used to it as he had been with the widow. He only left when his life was threatened. He was comfortable alone on the island, and comfortable with Jim on the island. He was fine with going down the river, and is fine living in the home of the Grangerfords. In each situation he adapts and takes on some of the characteristics of his surroundings. He was polite and didn't cuss when with the widow, then he did with his dad. One of the biggest adaptions he goes through is seeing Jim as an actual human being, and he's still undergoing that where I am now. With luck the good characteristics will wear off on him more than the bad
