Huck can lie like nobody's business. A wise man once said, "Huck lies like a rug." Think about it.
When he felt wrong about leaving the killers for dead, Huck went to the ferry boat man and made up a story about how pap, mam, sis, and Miss Hooker were in an ‘awful peck of trouble’. Since he was the only one who knew how to swim, he went for help. The ferry boat watchman got right up off his keister and went to find his family. To divert the attention of slave catchers, he said that his parents had smallpox. Well if that didn’t get the slave catchers to hightail it out of there then I don’t know what would have. Lest we forget Huck’s most recent lie. The raft got smashed to bits, Huck quickly thought of the pseudonym ‘George Jackson’. The nice but paranoid people call of their dogs and the give ‘George’ some food. Clever, Huck, clever. Does Huck always lie for the right reasons- to save the life of ruffians, and his friends- or is lying just plain ole wrong?

Ok i think that it is not bad to lie in a sitution that may cost you or your friend your life unless you are standing up for your faith other than that if its a life or death situation i would probably lie too!
