It is pretty fun to watch Huck Finn go through all the things he does to survive and run away. He dresses up as a girl for God's sake. He does it to see if anything is in town, gets caught, finds out people are after them and runs back. Also, he tries to lighten the mood a little bit by putting a dead snake in Jim's blanket as a joke. In turn, the snake bites Jim and he has a swollen leg for a couple days. It is rather unlucky for ole Huck and Jim, and it seems like they never get a break.
It is preety funny to read all the crazy and some times senseless things Huck and Jim go through. How boring would it be if Mark Twain hadnt added the details such as there side adventures in their escape.
