Clever Fellow!
Huck Finn is quite the character. He is very clever for being a 12 year old boy. I mean planning out your own death and having everyone believe it!? Now that takes some talent in itself! Also being able to dress up like a young girl and having folks believe that you are this innocent, hopeless little girl. Well for most of the time that is. Huck is very good at thinking on his toes and coming up with certain scenarios for certain situations! I enjoy the anticipation on Huck's next move!

Yes! When Huck dressed up as a girl, I found that entertaining. What i considered even more entertaining was how the old woman gave him "chores" to do. In these chores she made him make a mistake in displaying he was actually a boy and not a girl.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this comment and i was very impressed with how intelligent this little boy had indeed became. It was also the little things that he did that truly peeked my interest.Like for instance when he had disquised his boat with cotton to make it look like nobody was in it that it was a drift boat and when he made sure to only travel by night so nobody could see him.Just the small things were in itself the work of a true genius!
ReplyDeleteHuck dresses as a girl to get info from a woman he was trying to fool. Huck tries starting a new life to get away from his father. He travels down the Hudson River on a raft with Jim Parker. They both live on an island in the middle of the river.
